With Diary of a Serial Expat: Expat Muslim in Iran

Last year I wrote a guest post for Diary of a Serial Expat entitled Expat and Muslim in Pakistan a brief guide to what it’s like living and working in Pakistan as a Muslim, particularly for foreign workers. That was off the back of another piece entitled Expat and Muslim in Australia, published in late 2014.

After my contributions about Pakistan and Australia, I considered writing a piece about being expat and Muslim in Iran; the resulting reflections even surprised me in their content!

The brains behind Diary of a Serial Expat, Jameela Deen, is a blogger who I really admire; her work in explaining the cultural and social interactions in the societies in which she has travelled is unique and praiseworthy.
