Ali Raza is a true artist – someone who loves what he does, and can’t seem to imagine doing anything else with his life. Especially intriguing for me is the way in which he weaves the spirit of the city of Lahore into his work; a concoction of beauty, modernity, idealism, tradition and faith. His understanding of Lahore’s history runs deeper than just knowledge – it runs in his veins; I love to spend time with him, chatting and thinking, and really getting under Lahore’s skin.

Moazam Ali is like a little brother to me; despite our age difference, we share similar views on the world and enjoy hanging out in the same way. For me, he was an obvious choice for the video, because they don’t come much more Lahori than Moazam! Lahore is alive, and Moazam keeps up with it daily. Walled City nights, dhaba cuisine, street processions… we’ve done a lot of it together, and I’m so glad that he agreed to share his city with the world for this video.

you can usually get videos into your blog Tim, you just need to embed them. There’s an option on youtube you click on ’embed’ and copy and paste the html into your blog. That’s if you want to. This way people click through to your youtube channel which is also nice! 🙂
Thanks Andrew! Yup, I will start doing that soon… facing some issues with YouTube in Pakistan… but lets see how we go 🙂 Thank you!
