I love Turkish food, and Istanbul is one city where it’s easy to try lots of local authentic dishes fairly cheaply.

Before my recent trip to Turkey many of my friends and colleagues asked me “is Istanbul safe?” Here’s my take on things.

Istanbul is perhaps most famous as the city which straddles two continents, Asia and Europe, and the metropolis is an intriguing blend of European near-Eastern social norms and exotic Asian-Middle Eastern culture.
