Maisy’s 24

Outside of city centres, it’s difficult to find cafes in Australia that are open for coffee and cake 24/7 . Maisy’s 24 at Neutral Bay, thankfully, is open for business no matter what time of the day or night!

Sydney’s North Shore is often referred to as “the North Snore” by detractors fed up with its staid suburban disposition. However Neutral Bay has always been a bit different – it is, after all, the north’s ‘inner city’.

Maisy’s 24 a great cafe which serves no-nonsense tasty bites all the time. It’s been open since the 1970s. The food is tasty; standard cafe fare like sandwiches, burgers and pasta, along with breakfast favourites like hotcakes and omelettes.

Of course there’s the standard range of quality coffees that we’ve come to expect from Sydney cafes, plus milkshakes which are delicious but not as thick as I like it – I’m always disappointed when a milkshake gets over, and this one gets over a little too soon for my liking!

Overall, Maisy’s 24 is a great find in Sydney, and especially on the north side, a welcome (if not new) spot for a generation and a city who have a life outside of the 9 – 5 routine.

You mentioned outside of City Centres. So, the ones inside City Centres are mostly open 24/7?

No, actually in all of the city most places close before or around midnight, but usually if there is a 24/7 place which is open, it would only be found in the centre.
