A southern hemisphere Christmas is always going to be a novel concept for Europeans; sunny days and soaring temperatures are hardly conducive for many Christmas traditions. In Australia’s second largest metropolis, Melbourne, another dimension is added when the city’s arty side comes out to play. Not your typical holly-and-trees yuletide here.

Amazing photos Tim. Jingle Bells by night on Bourke Street Mall is definitely my favourite one!
Thanks for checking them out Agness, and thanks for the tweet! Hope you’re having a lovely Christmas!
This city looked so charming and loving during the Christmas season. Ah! Wish I was there. The lanterns are amazing. That makes me wanna go there next December.
Hmmmm maybe time to book a ticket? 😉
WOWZA… Melbourne town sure does know how to do Christmas, although…. the Berra did just take out a world record for the most amount of LED lights used in a Christmas display. Soooo maybe your town has some competition. LOL! I just arrived in Singapore Tim, so access to the interwebs while cruising this next couple of weeks will be limited. Just incase I don’t get to stop by your blog, have a freakin fantastic Christmas, hope Santa spoils ya rotten. 🙂 Very happy we connected, I love that you are in my life. Talk to you soon. Merry Christmas friend. 🙂
I’ll just have to go to Canberra for Christmas with my camera one year!! I used to live near a street in Sydney which did heaps of Christmas lights, but they don’t do it any more :/ Hope you have an awesome Christmas, wherever you find yourself on the 25th, and a fantastic holiday!! I’m so glad we connected to – here’s to the best year ever in 2015! Merry Christmas my friend 🙂
