Real coffee, ice cream, lassis and fresh juices take pride of place at The Hot Spot, in the Defence Housing Authority’s T Block.

Open late, this funky little cafe serves comforting coffees, refreshing fruit and milk shakes and a range of tasty light meals. The ranch-cafe-meets-Lollywood-studios decor is entertainingly kitsch and scanning the posters on the walls keep patrons entertained while they wait for their order to arrive.

It’s nothing fancy – the lassi is served in a disposable plastic cup and most meals take the form of the stock standard burger-and-chips combo – but sometimes that’s just what you want! There are pastas too, but sandwiches, melts, bagels and other quick meals make up the bulk of the menu. Don’t forget the desserts too – besides crepes, the Maltesers Chocolate Cake and Philadelphia Cheesecake are highlights!

The atmosphere is family-friendly, but that’s not to say that it’s full of ladies and children. It’s a reasonably mature place, but you won’t find too many young lovebirds awkwardly gushing over each other!

Add casually relaxed service, hygienic standards and a good location just around the corner from the DHA Cinema, and we rate The Hot Spot as a cool place to hang out with a bunch of friends at the weekend!

That’s a very cozy and nice place, really like it. I’ve noticed you became a big supporter of fresh fruits and veggies. It’s great to see you in such a great shape! I would love to have a mango lassi with you one day! 🙂
