Flora will meet fashion at the Royal Botanic Runway tonight, a first-run charity event aimed at raising funds to ‘drought-proof’ Melbourne’s Royal Botanic Gardens.
Guifoyle’s Volcano, the large cone-shaped garden near the eastern edge of the botanic gardens, will be converted into an open-air runway for the event, to kick off at 5:30pm.
According to Royal Botanic Runway’s website, over sixty Australian and international models will showcase pieces by Australian designers including Akira Isogawa, Aurelio Costarella, Collette Dinnigan and Martin Grant.
The exciting event aspires to raise money for sustainability measures for Melbourne’s beautiful botanic gardens.
Following the fashion show, a dinner and after party will be held, as well as the regular summertime showing of Melbourne’s Moonlight Cinema.
