Chennai Book Fair 2014 logoThe 37th annual Chennai Book Fair starts today, with a huge 777 stalls to fill the YMCA College of Physical Education in Nandanam.

Books in several Indian and foreign languages are featured, and the event program is filled with book launches and lectures.

A food court and a blood donation camp have been established at the venue, and an application for Apple and Android smartphones has been developed, allowing visitors to view the schedule of events and navigate their way.

Running from today until the 22nd January, entry to the fair is Rs. 10, or free for children under twelve years of age. For more information, go to the 2014 The Hindu Chennai Book Fair website.
