If you’re not in the know, Agness is one half of eTramping.com, along with Cez Krol, and together they are two of the coolest travel bloggers around! In recent years Agness has also been operating her own clean eating and healthy living blog Run Agness Run.

In today’s guest post, Agness introduces us to a new morning beverage that will sustain you all day long; bulletproof coffee! As a coffee lover myself, and as the Australian winter approaches, this is the perfect beverage to welcome the shorter, cooler days. If you’re in the northern hemisphere, why not make it a spring treat for those still-chilly mornings? Bulletproof coffee is usually incorporated into a wider diet plan, and is utilised in some diets to replace a breakfast meal.

Bulletproof Coffee by Agness Walewinder

If you are a coffee lover, this recipe may be a bit shocking for you. The reason being, bulletproof coffee is the blended up mix of organic coffee, coconut oil and unsalted ghee butter. Coffee with butter? “Bleh!” – you must think. In fact it is extremely nutritious, creamy and tastes much better than a regular latte.

A cup of bulletproof coffee will give you tons of energy, make you stay focused throughout the day and keep you fuller for longer. It is also beneficial for your health. Organic unsalted ghee butter is high in healthy omega-3 fatty acids, CLA, beta-carotene, vitamin A, vitamin K, vitamin D, vitamin E, and antioxidants. Only one single tablespoon of ghee butter contains 500 IU vitamin A, more carotenes than carrots and high amounts of vitamin K2, vitamin D, and vitamin E.

Bulletproof coffee ingredients

What you need:

  • 1 tablespoon unsalted ghee butter
  • 1 tablespoon coconut oil
  • double espresso
  • dash of cinnamon

Method:

Blend all ingredients together till you get a nice foam. Drink while hot!

It’s really fast and easy to prepare. Warning: After one drink of Agness’s bulletproof coffee, you’ll never be tempted to eat fat-free, insulin-raising, fat-storing toast, oatmeal breakfasts or porridge again :-).

    wow. that sounds… well i dont drink coffee so it’s hard to say! But do come to Melbourne because I’m told we have the best coffee here! In the world that is!
