Surrounded by myth and legend,the Bhong Mosque 50 kilometres from Rahim Yar Khan, is a must-see for anyone travelling to central Pakistan. But exactly why is it so beautiful? Why have the artisans of Bhong devoted themselves to a lifetime of perfecting this otherwise unremarkable mosque?

    looks quite different to the usual mosque in Pakistan. Where is it close to?

      It’s near a city called Rahim Yar Khan (“RYK” for short), which doesn’t see many tourists. RYK is almost exactly halfway between Lahore and Karachi (south of Multan), and it’s in Punjab, but near the border with Sindh.
