Ramadan begins with the sighting of the new crescent moon for the month

Pakistan’s Ruet e Hilal (moonsighting) Committee has announced that fasting for Ramzan will begin on Thursday 11th July, with similar news emerging from Indian authorities.

The news was reported by Dawn and the Hindustan Times earlier tonight, after clouds obscured the view of the new crescent moon across much of the subcontinent.

UrbanDuniya wishes all of its readers and their families a very happy Ramadan, with all the peace and reflection that this special month brings.
