Gelato Messina

Gelato Messina is one of those places which lives up to the hype. Last year, after several successful years serving the Sydney market, Australia’s best gelateria chain opened its doors in Melbourne – and it was an instant hit.

I had visited Gelato Messina in Sydney years ago, but was very excited about visiting the Melbourne store. Afficiandos of this Gelato Messina’s highly addictive menu look forward to their next chance to get Messina or “Get Messy” (or was that just us?).

Yep, it's as good as it looks!

OMGGGGGG. Yes – it is amazing – just as good as I remember it being. A regular board of flavours is complimented by a rotating selection. The day we visited we could sample Coffee and Hazelnut and Saffron and Cardamom with Candied Pistachio (creatively named Get It India).

I opt for the regular menu items Caramelised White Chocolate, and another scoop of Bounty (as in the chocolate bar). Both are amazing, and I’m tempted to have a second serving. Would that be wrong?

Plenty of my friends went to Italy recently and they’ve been posting a lot of pictures of colorful gelato. I’ve been craving it for some time. Would go for the strawberry one!

By the way, the website looks great!

Agness you haven’t had gelato until you’ve tasted Gelato Messina (or, of course, until you’ve been to Italy!! :p )
Thanks too, I love the new design, can’t wait for it to be rolled out across the rest of the site 🙂 and sincere thanks to Cez of course for making it happen 🙂
