Upstairs and inside of the new shopping mall at Punchbowl is a great hang-out spot with mouthwatering Lebanese sweets.

El Chami Sweets have only been open for a month or two, but is already building a reputation for high quality service to the district’s sweet teeth.

The kunafa; a creamy, cheesy confection drenched in syrup, simply melts int he mouth, and also comes in a unique western-style cheese variety. Baklava is, of course, in abundance, but the show stopper is arguably the mafroukeh. This semolina cookie with a creamy, nutty topping is just amazing; a must try.

Don’t forget to leave room for coffee; the full range is on offer. Conveniently located just across the way from the deliciously halal China Bowl restaurant, or a perfect snack destination in its own right, El Chami Sweets is a highlight of The Broadway Punchbowl.
