Hallstatt in pictures

To be honest, Austria didn’t really do it for me – a fact that I think has been fairly well documented on this site. I fell sick in Vienna, I felt disappointed by Salzburg, and then got spectacularly ripped off by a rental car provider.

So let’s start fresh – and focus on the positive. My favourite place in Austria was probably the picturesque lakeside village of Hallstatt, about an hour’s drive from Salzburg. Rather than writing about it, I think it’s best to let the pictures do the talking…
