Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque, Abu Dhabi

No trip to Abu Dhabi would be complete without a visit to the majestic Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque, a modern day icon of Islamic architecture. Constructed over 11 years, it finally opened in 2007 as the United Arab Emirates’ capital city began to glimmer on the tourism world stage . Now you too can witness the spectacle of this gigantic building, with this short photographic tour.

Oh Tim, I love this mosque! Wish I was there exploring it with Cez. The white color is definitely my favourite one and combined with sea blue is even more beautiful!

Isn’t it just gorgeous!! It’s like they’ve taken the best of each aspect of mosque design from around the world and brought it all together.
